Sara Cage, Bell Choir Director

Sara joined the church in August of 2000, when she began teaching at the school.  In December of 2003 Sara began the bell campaign to purchase a set of handbells for the church.  She had rung in the choir at the church she was raised in begining in the 6th grade, and finally took a break 10 years later when she graduated from Concordia University.  She missed having the handbells as part of worship, and was looking for a way to add that enhancement at St. John's.  The choir consists of 10-12 ringers, depending on interest.  We welcome anyone interested, even if you don't read music that well.  As a musician and an educator, the words of Psalm 100:1-2 ring true..."Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.  Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs."The bell choir isne part of the music ministry at St. John's Lutheran Church.  Sara rang handbells in grade school, high school and college, and was the person responsible for getting this ministry together.  She has served as the director of the choir since it began in 2001, and continues to ring whenever she can fit it into her schedule.
