WCSS/ LWML

 

The LWML Organization at St. John’s chose WCSS (Women's Christian Social Services) as its name. All women members of St. John’s are invited and encouraged to join WCSS which is affiliated with the National, State and Zone LWML. LWML is the ladies organization of the Lutheran Church Missouri-Synod proclaiming to be Lutheran Women in Mission. Mites are collected for National And State Mission Grants in addition to all the other service projects of this group. St. John’s now collects mites the first Sunday of each month.

St. John’s WCSS Meetings are held on the First Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., in Blanchard Hall. Non-member ladies are invited and encouraged to attend any or all of our meetings and/or functions. A short devotion service is part of each meeting prior to the business meeting, unless we have a featured speaker. If you prefer, you do not have to stay for the business meeting. Each month we have a special serviceproject (announced in the Newsletter and/or Bulletin called the InAsMuch Project), and we request all members of St. John’s to participate in these projects.

The fellowship and Bible Studies at the Zone, State and National LWML functions are outstanding, so plan to join us at one of these functions.
